“Breathtaking Bruges”

Considered to be one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe and a popular choice for a city break. Life in Bruges centres around the market square, bordered by guildhalls and towered over by the magnificent 13th century belfry where the 366 step ascent is rewarded with panoramic views. During our stay we have arranged a boat ride along the dreamy canals to catch a glimpse of how the city would have looked hundreds of years ago. Our hotel is the “Hotel Academie”. It is of 4 star standard, located 600 yards from the city centre in the heart of Bruges’ “Golden Triangle”. Accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis only as there are many restaurants nearby the hotel.

Tuesday:- Travel outward from Dover to Calais on the ferry and then drive direct to Bruges, arriving mid-afternoon, allowing time to settle into our hotel and find an evening meal.

Wednesday:- A ‘free day’ to explore Bruges, renowned for lace, chocolate and canals. It is a romantic open air museum of churches and elegant buildings all in virtually unspoilt surroundings. During the day we have arranged a canal boat trip to enable us to enjoy this fantastic place from the water.

Thursday:- Following a leisurely breakfast we return to Calais by way of PJ’s Wine Warehouse.

The tour is scheduled to arrive back in Enfield Town by approximately 8pm.
