Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight is a special place with perhaps the most diverse countryside in England. More than half the Island has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty exemplified by the various landscapes from high chalk cliffs to Downland pastures. Our hotel is the 3 star Ocean View Hotel in Shanklin, which overlooks the sea and in addition to the usual facilities has an indoor, heated swimming pool.
Friday: Travel to the Isle of Wight by way of the morning ferry to Fishbourne and then lunch in Newport to arrive in Shanklin in the late afternoon.
Saturday: Whole Day Tour of the Island by way of I.O.W. Pearl (coffee break), Alum Bay for (The Needles, Coloured Sands and Chair Lift) and Godshill Village (tea break).
Sunday: Free morning in Shanklin and afternoon visit to the Donkey Sanctuary.
Monday: Return home by way of Fishbourne Ferry and lunch in Chichester before arriving home by approximately 6.00pm
