“Kynren” An Epic Tale Of England

DATE: FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST TO SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST 2020 (3 DAYS)

A short break for the Bank Holiday weekend that stays at the Mercure Hotel, Nr Durham for two nights. The highlight of our tour is an evening visit to the grounds of Bishop Auckland show Kynren to see “Kynren”, a show that takes us on a journey of 2020 years through English History, myth and legend at breakneck speed. It is an experience of magic, history and incredible spectacle all rolled into one show with dazzling pyrotechnics, beautiful choreography and unbelievable horsemanship that leaves the audience enraptured and awestruck. (Please note that this is an outdoor event so you may need warm and waterproof clothing.)

Friday – Travel up the Great North Road stopping at Royston Services (coffee) and Stamford (lunch), then on to Clumber Park in Sherwood Forest for tea, after which we make our way to our hotel.   Following dinner the rest of the evening will be at leisure.

Saturday – Following breakfast we will be visiting the Beamish Open Air Working Museum. This is a living, working museum where trams rattle along cobbled streets amongst buildings dating from the 1820s and 1910s that have been brought here brick by brick and rebuilt to give us a real sense of history.   We return to our hotel during the early afternoon allowing time to relax, before enjoying an early dinner enabling us to travel to Auckland Castle for the “Kynren Show”.

Sunday – This morning we return along the Great North Road, stopping for coffee at Wetherby Services and the interesting Cathedral town of Southwell for lunch. The tour is scheduled to arrive back in Enfield Town by approximately 7.30pm.

FARE £310. (INCLUDES ADMISSION TO KYNREN AND THE BEAMISH MUSEUM)
