Kynren and the Northumbrian Coast

Kynren and the Northumbrian Coast – Friday 26th August to Monday 29th August 2022 (4 Days)

Staying at the “Marriot Hotel” in Durham the highlight of this tour is a visit to the grounds of Auckland Castle to see “Kynren”, a show that takes us on a journey of 2000 years through English History, myth and legend at breakneck speed. It is an experience of magic, history and incredible spectacle all rolled into one show with dazzling pyrotechnics, beautiful choreography and unbelievable horsemanship that leaves the audience enraptured and awestruck. Please note that as this is an outdoor event you may need warm, waterproof clothing. We also visit Alnwick Gardens and Holy Island.

Friday: – Northwards along the Great North Road stopping for coffee at Brampton Garden Centre, lunch in Wetherby and tea at the Stanhope Visitor Centre.
Saturday: – Free rime in Durham with an early dinner before visiting Auckland Castle Grounds for the Kynren Spectacular.
Sunday: – Whole day drive around the Northumbrian Coast visiting Alnwick, Holy Island, Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Seahouses. (The exact order of our tour depending on the times of the safe crossing to Holy Island).
Monday: – Drive direct to the historic city of York with time for lunch and sightseeing before returning home along the Great North Road, stopping for tea in Stamford. The tour is scheduled to arrive back in Enfield by approximately 7.30pm.
