MALVERN HILLS AND SEVERN VALLEY RAILWAY

An interesting tour driven at a leisurely pace that is full of scenic variety and engineering interest.  We stay at the 3 star “Mercure Bewdley Heath Hotel”.  In addition to all the usual facilities of a 3-star hotel it also has an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fitness area.

Sunday:  Our outward route stops at Northampton Services for coffee and Stratford-Upon-Avon (lunch) arriving at our hotel during the late afternoon.

Monday:  Whole day drive around the Malvern Hills visiting Great Witley (coffee) and Great Malvern for lunch.

Tuesday:  Today we drive to the ancient “black and white” town of Ludlow for lunch and sightseeing before driving into the Shropshire Hill Country for tea in the Cardingmill Valley Returning to our hotel along the Wenlock Edge.

Wednesday:  This morning we join the Severn Valley Railway for a return “Steam Train Ride” to Bridgenorth.  There will then be some free time in the attractive riverside town of Bewdley\(lunch) before returning home along the motorways.  The tour is scheduled to arrive back in Enfield by approximately 7.00pm
