The Majesty of Lakeland  – Friday 16th September to Monday 19th September 2022 (4 Days)

It is impossible not to be moved by the majestic scenery of the Lake District for all that is best, dramatic, restful and wild in Britain’s scenery is here. Our holiday is based at the Grange-Over-Sands Hotel and we include excursions to the Ravenglass Narrow Gauge Railway, Conishead Priory, Windermere, Kirkstone Pass and Lowther Castle.

Friday: – Outward along the M.1 motorway stopping at Northampton Services (coffee), Lichfield (lunch) and Carnforth (tea) to arrive at our hotel during the late afternoon.
Saturday: – Today, we drive to the west coast to enjoy a ride on the Ravenglass Narrow Gauge Steam Railway along Eskdale. We return to our hotel by way of Conishead Priory (tea).
Sunday: – Full day tour of the area including a cruise along Lake Windermere and then follow the route over the Kirkstone Pass to Ullswater before visiting Lowther Castle for tea.
Monday: – Return home through the scenery of the Yorkshire Dales stopping at the Wensleydale Creamery (coffee), Ripon (lunch) and Peterborough Services (tea). The tour is scheduled to arrive back in Enfield by approximately 7.00pm.
