THE WYE VALLEY AND BIG PIT

Saturday 24th June to Sunday 25th June 2023 (2 Days)

The Big Pit is part of the National Museum of Wales that enables us to experience life 300 feet underground and discover what it was really like at the coalface as we enjoy a tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. We stay overnight, with dinner, bed and breakfast included at Newport’s “Holiday Inn”. Quietly situated in the woodland the hotel has plenty of facilities for leisure including an indoor, heated swimming pool. Following a leisurely breakfast, we drive around Chepstow to enjoy the outstanding natural beauty of the Wye Valley, stopping at Tintern Abbey, Symonds Yat Rock and Ross-On-Wye, returning home across the Cotswold Hills.

Home by approximately 8.00pm.
