The cruise across the Solent may be short but once on shore it’s a holiday wonderland where picturesque villages mingle contentedly with modern leisure facilities and where the high streets and country lanes are somewhat quieter and quainter than those on the mainland. We stay at Warners Bembridge Coast Hotel. A shoreline retreat, with spectacular views over The Solent that is just the place to take in the sea air during the day and in the evening relax with Warners. entertainment.
Friday: Travel to Portsmouth by way of Chichester, for lunch in the cathedral city before joining the afternoon ferry, arriving at our hotel during the late afternoon.
Saturday: Whole day island coach tour by way of I.O.W. Pearl (coffee), Alum Bay Chairlift and coloured sands., Yarmouth (Lunch) and Newport (tea)
Sunday: Morning free at Bembridge, afternoon drive to visit the Donkey Sanctuary at Wroxall.
Monday: Join the ferry to Portsmouth and enjoy lunch at Gun Wharf Quays before returning to Enfield, arriving home by 6.30pm.
