Drive direct to Cambridge (lunch break) which has been described as the loveliest city in Britain with its magnificent courtyards, bridges and ‘Backs’, along the River Cam and above all, the wealth of architectural styles to be admired, dominated by the famous Kings College Chapel. There is also a large Regional Shopping Centre. In the afternoon, as darkness descends, we visit Wimpole Hall where the grounds come alive with over 1 million twinkling lights and we discover sparkling tunnels of lights as we walk beneath glistening trees drenched in jewel-like colour. Christmas themed refreshments are available along the walk and we arrive home by approximately 8.30pm.
