CROOME HOUSE AND PARK (NT)
11th August 2021
The opportunity to visit the house and parklands of Croome Park built for the Earls of Coventry during the 18th century and now refurbished by the National Trust so that we may visit all 4 floors of the building. During the 2nd World War the parkland became known as RAF Defford where early experiments in radar were carried out. Indeed, we are also able to discover the secrets of this airbase in the Visitor Centre/Museum. Time for lunch and tea in the 1940’s style restaurant.
Home by approximately 8.00pm
(NT non-members appx £11 extra)
