Spend the day in Hastings, famous for its associations with the Norman Invasion of 1066 and the fact that Logie Baird invented Television in the town. Other attractions include the refurbished pier, large shopping centre, castle ruins perched high on the cliff and of course ‘Foyle’s Walk’ where the well-known TV series Foyles’ War was filmed amidst interesting antique shops. It also retains its fishing fleet and fresh fish may be purchased from the ‘Fishmarket’.
