HEVER CASTLE’S “TULIP FESTIVAL”

HEVER CASTLE’S “TULIP FESTIVAL”

21st April 2023

Following a stop for coffee at Pol Hill Garden Centre we drive across the North Downs to visit Hever Castle. Today, the rooms of this 13th century castle, where Anne Boleyn was born, are brought to life with special displays of Tulips. There should be at least 21,000 tulips in bloom and the Italian Garden will play host to the largest of the displays with a kaleidoscope of colour fanning down the length of the garden to the lake. There is also a Maze and regimental museum plus the fine furnishings and paintings that adorn this ancient place. Time for lunch and tea in the restaurant before arriving home by 6.30pm.
