Lincolnshire has always been regarded as the home of the RAF, so it is only fitting that this newest Memorial with its 100ft Spire has been constructed overlooking the city. Today we visit the Memorial for lunch, with time to visit the Chadwick Centre where we can experience what it was like to take part in a bomber sortie, before driving into the centre of Lincoln for the remainder of the afternoon. Home by approximately 8.30pm.
