One of our more unusual tours that breaks for coffee at the Blake End Craft Centre and then drives around Colchester to visit Old Harwich where we are able to walk on the “Ha ’Penny Pier”. We continue along the estuary of the River Stour to reach Manningtree the small town noted for its Swannery. In the afternoon we drive through scenery which John Constable immortalised in his paintings to stop for tea at Flatford Mill which became the subject of his most famous painting.
