A new tour for those of us that do not want to travel too far, that stops in the picturesque mediaeval market town of Saffron Waldon. The town is also noted for a 400 year old Turf Maze, large parish church and the Castle Keep and Museum. During the afternoon we continue through the rolling Essex Countryside to stop for a break at Marks Hall. Where the gardens and arboretum provide an experience to blow away the cobwebs and rejuvenate the body. Time for tea in the tea room before arriving home by approximately 6.30pm.
