STONEHENGE (NT) AND SALISBURY
8th April 2021
Today we have the opportunity to visit the new Stonehenge Exhibition and Visitor Centre. Here, we can get closer to the ‘Mysteries of the Stones’ at the Visitor Centre before travelling to the great Stone Circle itself in a special land train to view close up this exceptional survivor from lost prehistoric cultures. The Visitor Centre gives us a 360-degree experience of viewing the stones whilst standing in the centre of the circle using laser scan images that enable us to watch the winter and summer solstices come and go in spectacular fashion. Time for lunch in the restaurant before driving into Salisbury city centre dominated by its huge cathedral spire.
Home by approximately 8.00pm.
Note: Admission extra. (NT non-members approximately: £18.00)
