TENTERDEN AND PASHLEY MANOR GARDENS
30th April 2021
A tour that stops for coffee at Maidstone Services before driving along the Kentish lanes to arrive in the old country town of Tenterden for lunch. The town has a High Street lined with Georgian houses, unusual shops and a busy market. We spend the afternoon at Pashley Manor, where the ‘Tulip Festival’ displays massed flowers and decorative art on a tulip theme. There are thousands of flowers in the garden whilst the interior of the Great Hall has a magnificent display of floral art, arranged by ‘Bloms Bulbs’ – Chelsea Gold Medal winners. Time for tea in the cafe.
