The opportunity to visit two contrasting seaside resorts. We stop for a break in Whitstable whose pretty weather boarded cottages, winding lanes and alleyways recall its maritime history. In the afternoon we drive around Canterbury to reach Deal. Deal is a quiet resort that time has passed by and it still retains its original Georgian architecture. It has an interesting Time Ball Tower, Castle and Maritime Museum. The traditional shopping centre has many independent shops. Depart at 5.00pm.
