The classic rural ride that takes us amongst the hills and valleys of the Essex/Suffolk borders where timbered houses, moated manors and fine church towers enrich the towns and villages that prospered from wool and weaving during mediaeval times. Our route takes us by way of Finchingfield (coffee break), Castle Hedingham, Boxford, Kersey and Lavenham (lunch break and sightseeing). Return via Cavendish, Clare, Saffron Walden (tea break), Clavering and the Pelhams.
