CHILTERN HILLS AND LEIGHTON BUZZARD RAILWAY – Wednesday 29th July 2026
Wednesday 29th July 2026
We drive across Dunstable Downs to enjoy the view from the highest point in East Anglia and after time for coffee, continue to Leighton Buzzard for lunch. We spend the afternoon on the local narrow gauge steam railway that was built to carry sand from the quarries around Heath and Reach. The round trip takes about 90 minutes, including a stop at the Stonehenge Works Station. There is time for tea at the cafe before arriving home by approximately 6.30pm.
