Today we visit the National Tramway Museum which is a unique working museum with the object of operating a collection of tramcars – horse-drawn, steam and electric – built between 1873 and 1953 that operate on an electric tramway giving scenic views across the spectacular Derbyshire Dales. Indoors there are many more attractions including lots of memorabilia. During the afternoon we then drive to Matlock to experience a nostalgic “Steam Train Journey” from Matlock to Rowsley and return. Home by approximately 8.00pm.
