The opportunity to visit the unknown and peaceful Suffolk Coast at Dunwich, where we find the village which slipped beneath the waves during the 19th century. Here we enjoy a tempting “Fish & Chip Lunch” at the restaurant on the beach. Suitably refreshed we drive past the “House in the Clouds”, a converted Water Tower, to reach Thorpeness, one of the very first purpose-built Holiday Resorts laid out in the early 20th century. Time for tea at Thorpeness before driving through Aldeburgh and commencing our return journey. Home by 7.30pm.
