Today we visit the “Garden Isle” as we drive to Portsmouth to join the ferry to the Isle of Wight and then drive to Shanklin for lunch and the afternoon. Shanklin is one of the best known resorts on the Island, renowned for its sandy beach, thatched cottages of the Old Village and stroll through The Chine to the Pier. All too soon it is time to join our coach and return to the ferry for Portsmouth and our journey home.
